Ubiquitus is an experiment in economic solidarity. It’s a self-sustaining Universal Basic Income (UBI) system powered by the financial markets. Instead of waiting for governments to pass legislation, we leverage public contributions to invest in diversified, low-cost index funds, and distribute a portion of the gains equally to everyone who signs up.
It’s a hedge fund for humanity.
Each month, 0.5% of the fund is distributed to participants regardless of market performance. The goal is to create a baseline of financial security for everyone on Earth—no matter their citizenship, employment status, or background.
Global wealth inequality is accelerating. Most people don’t own any assets. They work, spend, and survive, while the economic growth they contribute to ends up in the hands of a small class of shareholders.
- 2 out of 3 people live on less than $10 a day.
- Meanwhile, in 2020 alone, billionaires added over half a trillion dollars to their wealth.
- Governments are too slow, politicized, or self-interested to implement a global safety net.
We don’t need to overhaul capitalism—we just need to include more people in the benefits it creates.
I’m building Ubiquitus as a financial engine that works for everyone. Anyone can donate. Anyone can receive. The fund invests in broad ETFs like SPY (S&P 500) and BND (Bonds) using an automated trading strategy. Each month, verified users receive their share of 0.5% of the fund.
This is not about charity. It’s about rewriting the rules of ownership. If workers, consumers, and gig workers create value, they deserve a slice of the upside.
- Contribute: Anyone can donate—anonymously or via Venmo.
- Invest: 90% of funds go into SPY; 10% into BND, rebalanced daily.
- Distribute: 0.5% of total assets are distributed monthly.
- Verify: Recipients must verify identity (via Venmo) to ensure fairness.
- Monitor: Public dashboard displays fund stats, payouts, and participation metrics in real time.

Every aspect of Ubiquitus is designed to be open:
- Real-time dashboard with global map and financial stats
- Quarterly audits by independent third parties
- Fully open-source financial logic and investment strategy
- Identity verification via Venmo to prevent fraud
- Data encryption for all sensitive info
- Rate-limiting and IP restrictions for anonymous donations
- Donor: Give once or monthly, with or without an account
- Recipient: Get verified once, then receive monthly payments
- Admin: Oversee fund performance, distribution logic, and compliance
- Public: View dashboard and stats—full transparency by default
I started Ubiquitus after years of reflection. Growing up in Oakland, I saw firsthand the contradictions of tech wealth and street poverty. My background in data science (UC Berkeley) and product leadership led me to believe we could build something different—not utopian, but fairer.
I don’t hate capitalism. I think it’s a powerful engine for innovation. But that engine should benefit the many, not just the few. Ubiquitus is my attempt to bring Wall Street and Main Street a little closer together.
The fund is live. The trading bot is operational. Venmo is integrated.
Next up: launching the frontend, improving identity verification UX, and scaling up.
If you believe in a world where nobody has to worry about surviving another month, join us. Donate, code, share—or just sign up and start receiving.
